When looking to post something special for the 4th of July, I happen to come across this wonderful shot of a Ferrari F430 dressed out in the American flag. Upon closer inspection, this appears to be a paint scheme and not a wrap. This photo just seemed so appropriate to post; the pic comes to us courtesy of complex.com. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY and be safe!
For all those people that are sick and tired of mid-sized and econo junk being offered as rentals will now have the ability to ride away in style with the Hertz “Dream Car Program.” Hertz is now offering mere mortals the opportunity to taste the good life behind the wheel of some of the hottest supercars on the planet, such as the Ferrari California, the Ferrari F430 Spyder, along with non Ferrari models such as the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Prices do vary depending on the vehicle, for as low as $395, you can take the keys to a Porsche Boxster or a Tesla Model S. For those wanting a little more, a $1,000 will get you behind the wheel of an Audi R8 or an Aston Martin Vantage. For those wanting to go all the way, $1,500 will put you in control of a Ferrari 430 or the California.
Hertz is definitely not the first rental car company to offer such a program; they are the largest company to do so. The “Dream Car Program” will be offered in 35 cities across America, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Even though the German tuning program DMC may be best known for their work on Lamborghini Adventador projects, they have proven once again that they are capable of handling any Italian supercar.
DMC originally rose to fame by being the first to customize the Aventador with their Molto Veloce kit, and now they are looking to do the same by offering a complete re-design for the Ferrari F430. The project is called Carbonio, and will include a hefty dose of carbon fiber to dress up the F430, bringing the overall design closer to the styling used on the Scuderia.
As this project is far from complete, the pictures released by DMC are only a tease of what to expect. From these photos we can draw clues, such as the entire front end being wrapped in carbon fiber including the front lip that has been named “the Sword.” No word yet on when the project will be complete or what else will be done. Regardless of what comes next, DMC has definitely chosen the perfect car for this edition and we look forward to what comes next.
Two children aged 9 and 11 were seen driving around India in a Ferrari F430. As it turns out, the Ferrari belonged to the 9 year old driver’s father who not only gave the children permission to drive the Ferrari F430 on a public street; he filmed the event and posted it on YouTube!
Obviously video of children barley tall enough to reach the pedals while driving one of the world’s most amazing supercars was a hit with social media and critics alike. The public backlash from such a foolish idea has led to the arrest of the father Mohammed Nishan. The Times of India reported the video sparked “widespread outrage” prompting the police in Kerala to arrest the father. Nisham was charged with encouraging underage driving and allowing an unlicensed minor to drive the vehicle.
It’s not every day that you get to witness a Ferrari 599 GTB attempting to drift around a collection of luxury vehicles that includes a blue Rolls-Royce Ghost, no less than two Ferrari 458 Italias, the new Corvette Stingray and several Ferrari Californias.
That is just the case for these to aspiring stunters who put their amateur talents on display at what appears to be the roof of a parking garage in the United Arab Emirates. The two were thoughtful enough to rig the 599 GTB with cameras that give us views from all angles inside and outside the car.
Whoever said that three’s a crowd definitely wasn’t talking about Caitlin Hixx with a Ferrari 599 and a Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spyder 16M. This lovely trio combines the perfect combination of raw power and raw beauty courtesy of professional photographer Nino Batista who definitely knows a thing or two when it comes to cars. The Ferrari F430 Sucderia delivers a stunning 510 horsepower with a 0-60 in 3.6 seconds while the Ferrari 599 is back by a powerful 6.0 liter V-12 engine that produces an astonishing 600 horsepower! Nino Batista has once again proved that good things do come in 3s.
Tucked away in the mountains of Epirus in northwestern Greece is the Zagorohoria, a cluster of 48 traditional picturesque villages built amphitheatrically in the area of Timfi, Pindos and Mitiskeli. These medieval structures are a popular tourist destination. People from all over the globe come to the Zagorohoria to walk through these stone streets with high walls and enjoy views that can only be found in Greece.
Earlier this week a tourist had the pleasure of witnessing just how difficult it is to own a Ferrari in this ancient part of Greece. He watched as a man attempted to drive his Ferrari F430 through these narrow cobblestone streets. According to a witness, this delicate procedure took 20 minutes to drive approximately 300 feet! Shockingly it appears that this driver was able to maneuver his F430 through these streets without putting a single scratch on his shiny red Ferrari.
This might be the most pointless place in the world to own a Ferrari as the average speed through these streets is apparently 15 feet per minute.
Just weeks after getting caught speeding in her Bentley, Paris Hilton is at it again, this time partying down in Ibiza with friends. Somewhere during the good times, a close friend of hers thought it was a good idea to lend her his Ferrari F430. Paparazzi snapped this photo of Hilton driving the Ferrari F430 with obvious front nose damage.
There has been some debate to whether the Ferrari was damaged before she drove it or if the damage was done while she was driving it.
This begs the question is she really the type of girl to drive a damaged Ferrari? We definitely know she is the type of girl to damage a Ferrari. Guess we will never know.
