Justin Bieber Buys a New Ferrari 458 Spider

Justin Bieber Buys New Ferrari 458 SpiderJustin Bieber’s love for Ferrari continues with the newest addition to the infamous Justin Bieber Ferrari collection, a Ferrari 458 spider. This is essentially the same vehicle as his Ferrari 458 Italia just done in convertible.

The midnight black paint job is a new look for the Bieb whose previous cars have been in lighter colors (white, and baby blue). The 458 Italia debuted two years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

Justin’s new Ferrari is a 4.5 liter V8 engine the pushes 570 horsepower with 398 lb-ft of torque. The 7-speed dual clutch transmission delivers a lighting fast 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds.

As of late, Bieber is known more for the trouble that he (and his friends) have been getting into driving his Ferraris than he is for his music. Listed below are the greatest hits compilation of the more recent run-ins that Justin Bieber has had in his Ferrari.

Paris Hilton Drives Damaged Ferrari F430

Paris Hilton Ferrari F430Just weeks after getting caught speeding in her Bentley, Paris Hilton is at it again, this time partying down in Ibiza with friends.  Somewhere during the good times, a close friend of hers thought it was a good idea to lend her his Ferrari F430. Paparazzi snapped this photo of Hilton driving the Ferrari F430 with obvious front nose damage.

There has been some debate to whether the Ferrari was damaged before she drove it or if the damage was done while she was driving it.

This begs the question is she really the type of girl to drive a damaged Ferrari? We definitely know she is the type of girl to damage a Ferrari. Guess we will never know.

Ferrari Continues to Improve on Perfection with the 458 Speciale

Ferrari 458 EspecialThe design department at the prancing horse is committed to tirelessly working on improving a brand that already is the pinnacle of perfection. This time Ferrari has focused their efforts on a special edition (hence the name Speciale) of the 458 Italia.

Improvements were made to the Speciale vs. the “conventional” model (like anything at Ferrari is conventional) by focusing on the three most important factors of a supercar: power, grip, and aerodynamics. Performance was added to this 4.5L V-8, raising the horsepower to 605, while keeping the torque steady at 398. This works out to be 133 horsepower per liter, making the Speciale the highest-output naturally aspirated V-8 Ferrari ever made. The 458 Speciale can launch from 0-60 in 3 seconds flat! Best-of-all, Ferrari says that even with improved performance, the 458 Speciale consumes less fuel than the 458 Italia.

Among the technological improvements that have increased the grip of the 458 Speciale, are changes to the algorithm of the Side Slip Angle Control system (SSC). This function’s purpose is to constantly analyze in real time, the vehicle’s lateral slip and compare it to the computer’s “ideal” values. This allows the SSC to split the torque between the rear wheels, enhancing the ability of the Speciale to take turns faster without sacrificing control. This is achieved through integration of the electronic differential and the vehicle’s traction control system.
